Faakhir Mehmood is a Pakistani singer, keyboardist, composer, and music producer. He began his music career with the popular music band Awaz, and his 2000 debut album, Aatish, was a huge success. His song Dil Na Lagey, Pakistan was the number one song in Pakistani music charts for many weeks and was awarded as the best national song of the year 2000, and was also performed in front of a live audience of over 30,000 in New York City and Washington DC. He has also recently performed at Coke Studio Pakistan. Faakhir’s extraordinary talent as a singer and musician, and his high energy live shows have taken his music to many countries across the world and led him to win many prestigious awards including the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan, the Lux Style Award, and numerous Hum Awards.
