Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a legendary Pakistani artist, who is an extremely talented musician, and Qawwali, Sufi, and Ghazal singer. He was born in a family with legendary artists, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Fateh Ali Khan, and Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan. He has performed Pakistani Qawwalis in the Pakistani film industry, in Bollywood, and has toured extensively throughout the world. Some of his most popular songs featured in Bollywood films include Jag Soona Soona Lage from the movie Om Shanti Om, O Re Piya, from the movie Aaja Nachle, Teri Ore, from the movie Singh is Kinng, and Mere Rakshe Qamar, from the movie Baadshaho. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan became the first Pakistani to perform at any Nobel Prize concert, and has been awarded numerous prestigious awards including the Lux Style Awards, UK Asian Music Awards, ARY Film Awards, Hum Awards, the Wembley Arena Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and honorary membership, by the Arts Council of Pakistan, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Music by the University of Oxford.
